A culinary weekend

Last weekend was all about spending quality time with my man! He had to go on a business trip this week, so we wanted to get the most out of our 'last' moments together. We both lóve to go out for lunch, brunch, dinner, you name it. We enjoy discovering new places, having a glass of wine, chatting, laughing... To me there's nothing more romantic than enjoying food together.

So we started off on saturday by going out for lunch to one of my favorite spots in LA, Joan's On Third. It's a trendy gourmet marketplace where you can have the most delicious homemade salads, sandwiches, pastas, pastries, and so much more. There's an outside dining area, but you can also take your meal home. I had a salad with grilled chicken, spiced pecans and goat cheese, and of course their homemade lemonade, as I've become a fresh lemonade addict here in LA. It was sooo delicious!

I was in a romantic mood this weekend, so I wore a cute, white off-shoulder dress by Lovers + Friends (sold out in white but still available in gorgeous light blue!). I accessorized my look with a suede choker by Vanessa Mooney, and Dior 'Inspired' sunnies. I wore my favorite suede Chloé wedges, they are so comfy and matched my white dress perfectly! I finished my look with a white 'mini Rockie' bag by Alexander Wang.

On sunday, our culinary weekend continued with an amazing all-you-can-eat brunch at the prestigious Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills. The buffet is simply uh-mazing; a bread and pastry section, an omelette station, a sushi bar, a taco corner, charcuterie buffet... the choices are endless. We started off with some drinks, a mimosa for me, and a bloody mary for the hubby.

A maxi dress is a perfect choice on a hot summer day! It's light and comfy, and gives you an instant trendy, bohemian look. I wore a gorgeous floral maxi dress by Flynn Skye, one of my favorite LA designers. I just love her work, she manages to create beautiful, dreamy and very wearable pieces. This floral print in particular is from a previous collection, but you can shop this dress in other pretty prints here.

I wore a velvet choker (again), 'Tilda' sunnies by Céline, Edge Of Ember 'Myla' cuff, and lace-up Chloé wedges (last season, sorry girls) to finish the look.

And what's brunch without some delicious Belgian waffles with whipped cream? That's right. After 5 plates of food (oh my), I finished with these bad boys.

I'll have to work out like a crazy woman to burn off all the calories I ate this weekend, but it was so worth it! We had an amazing time, and I can't wait for my love to come back and spend some more weekends like these together.
